A few words about Design Guide II This booklet was written and illustrated by Glenn L. Beall of Glenn Beall Plastics Limited, Libertyville, Illinois. This project was done in cooperation with ARREM PLASTICS INC., which is now owned by PROFILE PLASTICS, Lake Bluff, Illinois.. The pressure forming segment of the thermoforming industry is relatively new compared to other older, well-known processes such as vacuum forming. Many of the design guidelines or rules of thumb in this booklet are being formulated for the first time. It is a foregone conclusion that these recommendations and conclusions will change as the pressure forming process matures and experience generates additional data. The data presented has been collected from many sources believed to be reliable; however, no expressed or implied warranty is made to its accuracy or completeness. No responsibility or liability is assumed for any loss or damage suffered through reliance on any information contained herein. The final determination of the suitability of any information for the use contemplated for a given application remains the sole responsibility of the user. Copyright 1985 by Glenn L. Beall.
